BPP Legal Advice Clinic (BLAC)

Many of us experience legal problems but are not sure how or where to get advice. BPP Legal Advice Clinic (BLAC) is here to help.

Our Legal Advice Clinics are based in London, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester and cover a variety of areas of law (but not all areas of law are covered in every location). If you are not local to our centres, we maybe able to offer online appointments. All appointments are subject to availability.

Our clinics hold the Advice Quality Standard, the mark of quality awarded to independent advice organisations.

How it works

Appointments are available during term time. When you contact your local clinic, one of our student case workers will telephone you to take the details of your case and the clinic manager will assess whether it is suitable for our students.

If we are able to help you, we will contact you to arrange an appointment. Please note that our service is limited by expertise, resources and availability. Unfortunately, we cannot help everyone who contacts us.

We will offer you an online or in person appointment and try to meet your preference.  If your appointment is held online and you will be connected with two student advisers. Full joining instructions will be sent to you and you only need access to a computer or phone.

Following the meeting your appointed advisers will research the particulars of your case, supervised by qualified legal professionals, and then send you a letter setting out their legal opinion. We aim to send out letters no later than two weeks following the date of your appointment.

Our service is entirely free. Please note BLAC does not offer drop-in sessions and no advice is given during the appointment itself.

Contact your local clinic by phone: 0330 060 3444 or by email: legalhelp@my.bpp.com and we will call you back.
