I need legal translation or interpretation

Is English not your first language?
Do you need help to translate or understand legal advice or proceedings?

If yes to both, please see the information below.

Legal Translation Service (LTS)

Our volunteer law students can help you to access legal advice, understand proceedings better and make your views heard by translating and interpreting.

You may find it helpful to have a legal letter or statement translated into your first language, or for interpretation services to be provided during advice sessions at a law centre or during a court hearing.

Depending on your location, we offer:
Translation of documents, which can be certified if required
Interpretation services in person (at appointments, meetings, court hearings etc)
Interpretation services from a distance (e.g. via the telephone)

If this is of interest, please email translation@my.bpp.com

We will then contact you to discuss your translation needs.

As an example of what BPP Legal Translation Service students can do, they  have been working hard for Bail for Immigration Detainees (BID) translating the first batch of ‘how to get out of detention’ handbooks.  These have now been uploaded to BID’s website, along with a news piece announcing them.
