Employment Law Telephone Advice Line (ELTAL)

If you require advice on employment law, the Employment Law Telephone Advice Line (ELTAL) is here to help.

BPP Pro Bono Centre’s Employment Law Telephone Advice Line is a service which provides employment law advice to employees who have an employment problem for example, they have been dismissed or they would like advice on raising a grievance against their employer.

Please email with your name and telephone number and a student volunteer from BPP University Law School will call you back to take some basic information about your employment law problem.

They will then pass your details on to a volunteer employment lawyer, who will call you on a Tuesday evening between 6.30pm and 8pm to offer some initial employment advice. Due to high demand we cannot guarantee that your advice call will take place the following Tuesday. On this basis we are not able to assist with urgent queries. If you problem is urgent please seek assistance elsewhere.

To access this service please email

Please note, the ELTAL service is limited to a 30 minute advice call only. We are not able to provide assistance with drafting documents, case work or representation.
