BLAC Enterprise provides free legal advice to the public on business law matters, such as setting up a business, protecting intellectual property rights, creating a website for your business, contract clauses, company procedures and disputes with consumers or suppliers.
Law student volunteers conduct a fact-finding interview. They follow up each interview with a detailed letter of advice supervised by a qualified lawyer. Individual cases must be suitable for the clinic and this is assessed on a case-by-case basis after an initial phone interview. Unfortunately, we cannot always guarantee assistance.
All appointments are currently being provided online. You will be sent full joining instructions.
BLAC Enterprise can assist with completing forms for incorporating a company, advising on contract clauses, copyright and trademark issues, checking the Companies House register and providing practical support and advice.
Appointments are available during term time and are subject to student and supervisor availability.
Please note that we do not offer drop-in appointments and no advice is provided during the appointment
